Former Cardiff Blues, Llanelli Scarlets and Exeter Chiefs second row forward, Damian, a Wales 7s international moved into coaching with Plymouth Albion in 2020, but was immediately confronted with the pandemic, with no rugby. As a previous coach at Exeter University, taking them to a final at Twickenham, law-graduate Damian was always going to head into a more formal coaching role, and 2021/22 will see him take the reigns of his first game for Plymouth Albion. His experience as a European Challenge Cup winner and having played in the Pro 14 and Gallagher Premiership will no doubt be a great help in his new career.
