Jack Fanning is a 6ft 3” Left footed, left centre back, formerly of Exeter City Academy until December 2021. Jack was a left winger or left midfielder, during his time at the academy, but suffered from Severs Disease, which affects the ankle and heel areas, as a younger player, for three years on and off. He then grew 10cms in a year and moved to the left centre back position. Played for England Independent Schools against Wales in April 2022. An ‘A’ level student, Jack is playing for Exeter College on Wednesday afternoons, and for Tiverton Town senior team in the Southern Premier League on Saturdays, and when not in their side, plays for Crediton Utd senior team in the South West Peninsula League. Jack scored a diving header on his first Southern League Premier start for Tiverton Town on 29th October 2022 against Poole Town. He went into Aston Villa for 4 days in late November 2022 and played in a friendly against Sheffield Wednesday U16s on Tuesday 29th November 2022. He is due to go into Swansea City soon, and has also been asked to trial at Glasgow Rangers and Brighton & Hove Albion. Jack is very dominant in the air in both boxes and in the tackle, and likes to play it out from the back due to his previous playing positions.
