Welsh, attacking midfielder at Cardiff City, current Wales U17 international who scored 46 goals and added 31 assists across the U14s, U15s, U16s and U18s in the 2018/19 season becoming the youngest goal scorer for Cardiff City at U18 PDL level at 14 years and 124 days. He followed up with a combined 52 goals in the 2019/20 season for Cardiff City at U15, U16 and U18 levels, as a No10 or wide player, including one for Wales U16s. He has already signed a pre-scholar and is in his last schoolboy year this season. So far in this 2020/21 season, he has scored 5 goals in eight games at U18 level (including 2 as a 15-year-old), and 5 goals in three games for the U16s, including a hat trick, He was also excused from school to train with the first team in November 2020 just seven weeks after his 16th birthday. He is now training regularly with the U23s and has played in three PDL games. Cian was subject of four bids from Leeds United of up to £450,000, all of which were rejected by his club in Spring 2021. He has been offered a 3-year professional contract to start on his 17th birthday in September 2021 taking him through to 30th June 2024. Injuries have hampered the first 15 months of his professional career, and he is currently recovering from an operation, following a knock in first team training, which should see him return to the U21s and first team training in late February 2023.
